About Epic Universe

Epic Universe is Universal Orlando's third and most ambitious theme park, opening in 2025 to extraordinary demand. At over 750 acres, it is Universal's largest park ever โ€” roughly the size of the entire original Universal Orlando Resort combined. The park is organized around five immersive worlds: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter โ€“ Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon โ€“ Isle of Berk, Worlds of Monsters (featuring Universal Classic Monsters), Super Nintendo World, and the Celestial Park central hub.

The Harry Potter Ministry of Magic area is the undisputed crown jewel and the single biggest draw. Guests are transported to 1920s Paris and the French Ministry of Magic for a new generation of Harry Potter storytelling. The anchor attraction โ€” Ministry of Magic: The Experience โ€” has proven to be one of the most technologically advanced theme park experiences ever built. On HIGH and EXTREME crowd days, this attraction alone can see 2โ€“3 hour standby waits.

How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk is the second most popular world, featuring family-friendly attractions and an emotional immersive experience for fans of the film franchise. Super Nintendo World brings the beloved Mario universe to life with interactive gameplay elements and a signature coaster. The Monsters realm provides a thrilling, atmospheric experience for fans of classic horror characters. All five worlds are connected by Celestial Park, a stunning central area with unique dining, shopping, and entertainment.

In 2026, Epic Universe commands +1 crowd levels compared to the baseline crowd calendar because it's still in the high-demand new-park phase. September remains the best window for shorter waits, but even in September this park will feel busier than Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure on comparable weeks. Multi-day park-to-park tickets are now highly recommended for Universal Orlando visits to ensure adequate time across all three parks.

Top Tips for Epic Universe

1

Ministry of Magic at rope drop, every time. This is the park's crown jewel and its longest wait. Being in the first wave of guests can mean a 30โ€“45 minute wait vs a 3-hour wait by mid-morning.

2

Dedicate a full day (minimum). Epic Universe is enormous. Unlike the other Universal parks which can be done in a half-day on low-crowd days, Epic Universe warrants a dedicated full day. On HIGH or EXTREME days, two days is ideal.

3

Book dining and experiences in advance. As a brand-new park, Epic Universe's dining is innovative and highly sought after. Restaurant reservations open 90+ days in advance. Don't arrive without a plan for meals.
