Best Time by Visitor Type
Families with Toddlers (Under 5)
May is your month. Toddlers tire quickly, so shorter lines are essential — not just preferable. May's crowd level 3–4 means you spend time experiencing the park, not waiting. The weather is warm but manageable. September is equally good if your schedule allows. Avoid July completely with toddlers.
Families with School-Age Kids
If you can pull your kids out for a week, mid-January and September are transformative. If you're locked into school holidays, early April (after Easter) or late August are your best options. The difference between spring break and late April is night-and-day.
Adults Without Kids
September and January — the same as everyone else but with more flexibility to travel mid-week. EPCOT festivals (Food and Wine, Festival of the Arts) pair beautifully with the low crowds of these months. September Food and Wine Festival at LOW crowd levels is one of the best experiences in all of theme park travel.
Large Groups
Large groups need low crowds more than anyone — coordinating 8–12 people through a crowded park is exhausting. January or September are your only viable options for a truly enjoyable large group visit. Book dining, hotel rooms, and Lightning Lane as early as possible for any date you choose.
